Lane Bailey is JeepOnRock...

I joined the GBR back in January of 1995 with a new to me 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. It got its first run at Winter Madness at Tellico three days after I bought it. As a prospect, I had a 1985 Nissan King Cab. In June of 1995 I became Membership Director, fulfilling the remainder of the term from John Bongiovanni. I held the position through the 1997 Board of Directors. Pat Johnson and I were sworn in at the same meeting. Three months earlier we didn't even know each other.

Shockingly, I used to 4 wheel just about every month... sometimes twice.

1997 also saw my first trip to Moab. Pat Johnson and I deliver a Jeep to Salt Lake City for Jeff and Larry McNair in February of that year. We had so much fun that I dragged a bunch of club members back out in September of 1997, 2000 and 2003. While on the trip in 2003, I found out that I was going to be a Daddy... And I decided I needed a bigger Jeep... longer, able to carry kids and kid stuff.

So began the tear down and the "build-up" that is more like a collection of parts in the garage, driveway and yard...

I also served as President of the GBR for 2007 and 2008, built the GBR Forum and am the guy pushing the new website here...
